We are delighted to offer this stunning art glass jar from Monart, a glassmaker in business from 1924 to 1961 in Scotland. The jar has striking modern form, is made from heavy glass and designed with a stout body and puck-shaped lid. The glass is cased in three layers with a fine deep jewel-like finished exterior. Both the top of the lid and bottom of the jar have been ground and polished smooth. The quality and craftsmanship of the jar are outstanding. Monart jars are scarce, and this vibrant example will make a wonderful addition to any collection of Scottish Art Glass. It measures approximately 7.75” high and is gently used with no discernible chips, cracks, breaks or restoration.
