Artist's Biography:

Inos Corradin   ( born in Vogogna, Italy, in 1929) is an international well-known painter, who has masterpieces spread worldwide.

He currently resides in Brazil, and he is considered one of the most sough-after contemporary artists today.

Early life and career

After living his childhood and adolescence in Casteldaldo, Padova, Corradin and his family immigrated to Brazil in 1950. His origin from Veneto and cultural roots in the wide fields across the Adige River in Padova, Verona, Mantova and Rovigo as well as the new sightseeing he gleamed in his arrival in Brazil at the age of 21, these certainly meant a lot in the deepest memory of Corradin. His experiences and his special look towards life are translated in richness in his masterpieces, in his fantastic creativity and is his playful artistic communication with the world and people.

His first individual exhibition occurred in the Oxumaré Galley in Bahia, in 1953. During these years of a lot of work, and many other exhibitions were performed in Brazil and abroad such as New York, Buenos Aires, Italy, Canada, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Israel, France,  Uruguay, Holland and others. His trajectory along these 50 years puts him among the great Brazilian artists of the present moment. In his work there is always a trademark of style and a peculiar language which allows people to identify it immediately.

Chronology

1929  - Born in Vogogna, Italy in November 14. Afterwards he moved to Castelbaldo, a Province in Padova, where he spent his childhood and adolescence, in the land of his parents.

1945  - Studied painting with the teacher Tardivello.

1947  - Collaborated with the painter Pendin in the execution of the allusive wall to the martyrs of the Italian résistance, in Castelbaldo, Padova, Italy.

1950  - Arrived in Brazil and established himself in Jundiaí, São Paulo.

1951  - Met the Argentinean painter Osvaldo Navarro who directed the “Atelier Cooperativa Politone” in Vila Mariana, São Paulo. Invited to make part of the artistic group in which the painters Ian Woronieki and Geraldo Trindade Leal participated with more other five painters.

1952  - Invited to participate to the “II Salão Paulista de arte moderna de São Paulo”, participating of the “salão nacional de arte moderna” of Rio de Janeiro.

1953  - Arrived in Salvador, Bahia with the painter Trindade Leal. Met an artistic group from Bahia from the time of Mário Cravo Júnior, Rubens Valentin, Aguinaldo dos Santos, Caribè, Raimundo de Oliveira, Pancetti, Jenner Augusto, Wilson Rocha and Mirabeau Sampaio, the critic, singer and composer Dorival Caymmi.

1954  - Osvaldo Gil Navarro invited him to participate in the team of scenographers of the “Ballet do IV Centenário de São Paulo”. Executed scenography for ballet and theater plays to Rugero Giacobbi and Aldo Cravo.

1955  - Still worked as a scene painter.

1957  - Started a new phase in his life. Arrived in Ibiúna, São Paulo, where he painted and worked with the timber workers who at the time had wood as their main economical source. In the 60’s met his first important Marchand, Mr. Américo Reisfield,and when he ceased his activities is succeeded by his son-in–law, Mr. Josef Bar-Tzion, who represents him in many international exhibitions.

1960  - Married with Maria Helena Rolin Carmelo and had three children.

1976  - Represented by Ms. Carla Surian Albori with European exclusivity.

1979  - Hired to paint a scenario by 8 x 11m to the Theatre of Rovigo – Italy. Works exclusively for 35 years to André Blau, owner of the “Nova Galeria de Arte André”. Nowadays makes an average of 2 international exhibitions a year.

1990  - The city hall of Jundiaí acquired 5 masterpieces, with religious themes, which are exposed in the Municipal Morgue “Adamastor Fernandes”.

1993  - The city hall of Jundiaí paid him a tribute for his 40 Years of painting, organizing a retrospective exhibition with masterpieces lent by innumerous collectors.

1997  - Released his book “La Visione Incantata” in the “Nova Galeria de Arte André” in S. Paulo, with an exhibition (the book was released simultaneously in Brazil and Europe), published by Edas – Edizioni D’Arte Surian.

2001  - Released his book “Venticinque Anni di mostre in Europa”, published by Edas – Edizioni D’Arte Surian.

2002  - The Italian Shipping Company “Costa Navegações” launched into the sea the liner “Costa Atlântica” in Venice and hired him to decorate the cabins with 800 serigraphy paintings and 42 oil paintings.

2002  - Took part in the annals of the Federal council with a speech made by the Federal Deputy André Benassi highlighting his importance in the painting scenario in Brazil and abroad.

2004  - Celebrated the 50 years of painting with a super exhibition in the Intercontinental Hotel, at Al. Santos in S. Paulo, where he released his book “50 Anos de Pintura”, edited by Auderi Martins.

2005  - Requested by the City Hall of Jundiaí to create a celebrating stamp for 350 years old of the city. This stamp was also launched by the Brazilian post office “Empresa Brasileira de Correios e Telégrafos”.

2006  - Honored by the “Aural Stimulation and Language Therapeutically Association- Associação Terapêutica de Estimulação Auditiva e Linguagem” – ATEAL”, together with the city hall of Jundiaí due to his kindness with the assisted children from this ONG, which singularly represented some of his masterpieces.

2006  - Illustrated the books “O Náufrago Negro” and “Ouvindo Estrelas” by the poet and lawyer Aguinaldo de Bastos, with 50 inedited masterpieces.

2007  - Inos paints oil-painting “Tributo à Serra do Japi” (1,80 X 9,00m), of which the replica was changed into a panel of 9.0 and 4.5 metres and it is found in a permanent exhibition in the bus station in Jundiaí.

2008  - Release of the documentary “INOS”, which traces an overview of his artistic life within his 56 years of career as well as curiosities of his personal life.
